Andrea has always felt a calling to be some sort of teacher. She remembers asking for a whiteboard one Christmas and then putting on her mom’s heels and setting up the whiteboard in her living room to play “teacher.” After taking on a clinical position, she also became a college professor (talk about manifestation!). Now, she is dedicated to helping clinicians find their clinical voice and confidence in the field!
Andrea brings 11+ years of clinical experience to Insightful Therapists.
Under the nurturing and empowering guidance of Andrea, she promises 3 things:
- She will hold space for you as a person; facilitating your ability to be open and honest with yourself so you feel empowered to embrace the kind of clinician you want to be!
- She will support and nurture the student in you; increasing your knowledge and skill sets.
- She will challenge you as a clinician; improving your insight, confidence, and assertiveness.
Andrea incorporates an eclectic approach to supervision. Her effective integration includes:
- A psychodynamic approach: Aids in the development of the clinician’s mastery of personal insight and self-confidence.
- A cognitive-behavioral approach: Aids in the development of a strong set of clinical skills.
- A person-centered approach: Allows you to uncover and embrace who you want to be as a clinician!
During supervision sessions you can expect to:
- Review your client’s caseloads;
- Review your own experiences, limitations, insecurities, counter-transference, etc.
- Identify clinical psycho-education, interventions, skills, and how to effectively administer them.
- Grow!

Clinical Experience
Andrea is vastly experienced in working with children and families, in an outpatient setting. She is experienced in working with anxiety disorders, depression disorders, behavioral and emotional disorders in children, and PTSD. Andrea uses a holistic approach to treatment, recognizing that true and pervasive healing occurs on a mind, body, and environmental level.

Andrea specializes in a holistic approach to healing while enjoying working with children and families. The mind, body, and the energetic force that connects it all must be addressed in unison for sustainable and transformative healing to occur and for generational dysfunction to be extinguished.
