About Andrea
I am a licensed psychotherapist, based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Using 11+ years of clinical experience in addition to somatic techniques, behavioral-based, and cognitive-based therapies, I have helped hundreds of my clients identify and heal the ROOT causes of their symptoms.
This means no more “band aids” or “managing” symptoms.
Healing on a deep level allows for the decrease and the eventual elimination of symptoms and self-sabotaging behaviors.
In redefining their core-beliefs, releasing stored emotions from the body, strengthening (not overusing) their emotional “muscle,” exploring the hidden/wounded parts of themself, and in becoming more aware of their life-long patterns clients are able to become more intentional about their choices.
With the tools learned in therapy, they will heal and begin to embody the most authentic, connected, and joyful version of themself!

HOW does therapy work?
I offer the opportunity
to work with me on an individual basis.
Therapy involves:
- A detailed intake and initial session.
- Virtual or office sessions with those seeking services.
- Weekly 50-minute sessions, so we can work towards attaining your goals
- Using a Person-Centered approach to build a strong relationship.
- Using Somatic-based interventions to help physically release trapped emotions.
- Using Cognitive-Behavioral techniques to identify and change unhelpful/destructive thoughts and behaviors and replace them with ones that will lead you to create the relationships you want and live out your fullest potential.
- You begin to make incremental but lasting changes through the creation of new patterns of thinking and behaving.
By the end of therapy, you will:
- Be able to identify ROOT causes of your symptoms.
- Heal these ROOT causes and therefore see a natural decrease/elimination of your symptoms.
- Feel physically lighter and more calm within your body, as you’ll release trapped emotions.
- Have a more clear understanding about why you think the way you do.
- Be able to clearly make connections between how you think, feel, act, and experience the world.
- Have a better understanding of yourself and the role you play in the relationships/dynamics you create.
- Be equipped with science-backed tools on how to:
- Identify, challenge and change irrational/distorted thoughts and belief systems.
- Change/release undesired emotions.
- Drastically improve your ability to practice patience and understanding.
- Set healthy boundaries.
- Experience immediate relief in your body.
- Regulate your central nervous system, helping your body physically return to a balanced state.
- Access part of the brain – the amygdala – (not easily accessible during talk-only therapy).
